John Dyson, Owner
John Dyson founded Millbrook Vineyards & Winery in 1981 alongside his brother-in-law, David Bova. The duo was set on crafting the first vineyard in the Hudson River Region of New York dedicated exclusively to the production of vinifera grapes.

David is originally from Toledo, Ohio and attended Wittenberg University. Along with co-founding the Vineyards & Winery, for over 30 years David has managed the business’ day to day happenings. This includes spending copious amounts of time at his desk developing new ideas to help the business grow. David also manages our commercial vineyard operation, Vista Verde, in California. It is not uncommon to find David in the office, walking the grounds, or even behind the Tasting Room Bar.
