Millbrook Winery FAQ's
We’re entering an exciting chapter at Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, one that elevates every aspect of the guest experience while honoring our history, landscape, and world-class wines that have made Millbrook Winery a premier Hudson Valley destination for the past 40 years.
The thoughtfully designed updates are intended to make our guests’ visit more memorable. Below you’ll find answers to common questions about what’s changing, when the changes will take effect and what to expect when visiting.
Outside Food & Beverages
- Per NYS law, outside beverages of any kind are not permitted on site. We offer soft drinks, water, local beer, and additional non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.
- Paying customers will be allowed to bring picnic lunches for use in our outside picnic areas: Pondside Lawn, Vineyard Lawn, and Winery Patio.
- Picnicking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only. No outside beverages, catering, balloons, or decorations, including signage. Coolers are subject to inspection.
- No outside food or beverage is allowed inside the winery.
- Private events are not permitted unless booked with our events department. Private events held without a booking will be subject to a site fee. Call 845-677-8383.
Outside Furniture
- No lawn chairs or tables are permitted at the winery.
- Picnic blankets are allowed but only around a designated table.
Pets
- Pets are allowed in our outside spaces only.
- They must be on a leash at all times.
Children
- Families are always welcome at the winery.
- Children are welcome at all of our outdoor seating options Monday through Friday, but children under 16 are not allowed in our Pondside area on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Children are welcome in our downstairs tasting bar and will be accommodated as needed.
- Children are not allowed in our Overlook Room or Overlook Terrace.
- We offer kids' games on our Vineyard Lawn.
- Children's toys are allowed on our Vineyard Lawn but are not allowed to interfere with other guests.
Reservations
- You can book any of our tasting experiences through our reservation system. Make a Reservation here.
- For booking a private event, please reach out to our events staff at 845-677-8383.
- Parties of 7 or more need to call or email the winery to reserve a tasting. Tastingroom@millwine.com
Group Sizes
- For groups that are not participating in wine tastings and are only visiting to enjoy the outside areas, please call ahead if your group is larger than 8.
- We can accommodate larger groups, but we need advance notice so we can arrange proper seating.
Food Offerings
- Inside our winery is the Millbrook Market, offering local foods for purchase including cheeses, charcuterie meats, fresh-baked baguettes, olives, sandwiches, salads, ice cream, desserts, and more.
- In the Overlook Room and Terrace, we offer small bites for purchase to those participating in tastings, including cheese plates, charcuterie plates, and more.
Food Trucks
- We have food trucks on site from May to October on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- The rotation changes weekly, so check our calendar to see who will be here on the day you plan to visit.
Jazz in the Vineyard
- Jazz concerts run from June through Labor Day on Saturday evenings, they take place on our Vineyard Lawn and begin at 5:30 PM.
- Tickets are required and can be purchased on our website or at the winery.
Private Events
- We have multiple locations where you can book a private event.

Closing
- Guests will not be allowed to stay on the grounds once we close.
Buses and Limo Groups
- We accept buses and limos with groups. Please call ahead to schedule so we know you're coming and can accommodate your group.
- We have parking available and can accommodate larger vehicles.
Overnight Parking and Visitation
- The property is closed outside of business hours. Guests are not allowed on the grounds and vehicles may not be parked at the winery overnight.
- If you feel you've had too much to drink and are unable to drive, you're welcome to leave your vehicle overnight and have it picked up the following day. Please let our Tasting Room staff know before leaving so we don't have your vehicle towed.
Drones
- Our property is beautiful and we understand the want to fly your drone here. Unfortunately this is a disturbance to other guests and we do not allow the use of drones on the property.
